The day dawned bright and warm on April 21 as the 5th Annual Arts Festival took over Downtown Glenside.  Mother Nature was shining on the vendors, entertainers and participants who brought their products and talent to Easton Road, and Wesley and Glenside Avenues.

Over 75 arts and crafts vendors offered beautiful jewelry, photography, paintings and sculpture, outdoor and home decor, fashions for all and more, to the shoppers who crowded the streets.

Live entertainment was provided by the Sons of Pitch and Up the Octave, the all-male and all-female a capella groups from Cheltenham High School, and by singers Skip and Chickie and later, the band By Any Means.

Thousands of area residents and friends enjoyed tasty treats from food trucks that included Tim's Barbecue, Bonjour Creperie, Li Ping Corn Company, Philly Fry, Smokin' Tacos and Stuff'd Buns, and from local restaurants that included TreviBYOB, The Glenside Pub, Anne's Kitchen Table, Elcy's Cafe and Dreams Ice Cream Factory.

The Arts Festival incorporatesEarth Day in the activities of the Festival, once again providing fun and educational activities for kids and families. Highlighting Earth Day and the important issues that accompany it, also supports the efforts of Cheltenham Township's sustainability programs.

Once again, the selection and management of the crafters was handled very successfully by Renaissance Craftables of Philadelphia.  All in all, it was a great day for Glenside and friends and we are already looking ahead to 2019!
